Kentucky Republican US Senate candidate Rand Paul has hired one of his father's former aides to manage his campaign. Jesse Benton, who was communications director for former Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul's last campaign, replaces David Adams as campaign manager.The shake-up was announced a week after a round of interviews in which Paul dismayed fellow Republicans with his views on racial segregation. Paul has been at the center of a lingering controversy since he expressed misgivings about the 1964 Civil Rights Act on MSNBC's Rachel Maddow Show last week.
