Senator Hillary Clinton and her family are campaigning hard across western Kentucky, building up to what many political pundits label a make-or-break primary for the New York senator.Clinton has been asked to call it quits by many in the political arena, but she continues to move forward. Nationally, she trails Senator Barack Obama in pledged delegates, superdelegates, and in the popular vote. However, Clinton has a commanding lead in Kentucky.
According to her husband Bill Clinton, Senator Clinton could lead one of the voting categories after Tuesday's primary in Kentucky.
"Everybody who's telling you your vote doesn't matter has a good job, a college education, and doesn't having a problem filling up at the pump," Bill Clinton said.
"If you stand up for her, she'll stand up for you, and if you give her a big victory here, she'll win the popular vote," Clinton added.
The New York Senator spent the final weekend before the primary sprinting across Kentucky. She spent Saturday in Frankfort and Laredo, and Sunday in Bowling Green and Mayfield.
Some Obama supporters have expressed disappoint by the leading candidate's lack of visits to Kentucky. Obama has visited the bluegrass state only once in the last year. His wife, Michelle Obama, attended a private event in western Kentucky on Monday. © Copyright 2009, wkms
