Kentucky Internet Survey
(2012-02-09)
(wkms) - The Commonwealth Office of Broadband Outreach and Development wants to know how Kentuckians use the Internet. Executive Director Brian Kiser says a survey request was sent out this week to 100-thousand businesses, organizations, and households across the state:

"These results will help us build a strategic plan. And we hope to have regions - we're working with area development districts --ad we're going to have four to five regions across the state so that we can do targeted awareness education campaigns."

Some of the questions on the survey include what type of Internet access do you have, and how often you get online for school, work, shopping, and other activities.
The Office of Broadband Outreach was created in 2010 using federal grants to identify Internet coverage. Kiser says the survey will be available for a month at broadband.ky.gov.
