Kentucky to Develop New Economic Development Strategy
(2011-07-08)
FRANKFORT, KY
(wkms) -
Kentucky's Cabinet for Economic Development has hired the consulting firm Boyette Strategic Advisors to develop a strategic plan for creating jobs in the state. Economic Development Secretary Larry Hayes says he wants everyone in the state to be able to share thoughts and ideas for making Kentucky more competitive. A series of meetings are to be held across Kentucky to gather input. Dates and locations will be announced later. Officials expect the plan should be complete by late October. It will identify emerging business sectors and make recommendations to better position the Commonwealth to compete for economic development projects.
