A 12-year-old Fairdealing girl died Tuesday of an accidental gunshot wound. Marshall County Sheriff's Detective Dan Melone tells the Paducah Sun Katie Hipsher died after her shotgun discharged while she was either cleaning or working on it. School counselors plan to consult with her South Marshall Middle School classmates as soon as school is back in session. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
