Team Rivalry Comes Back to Murray
(wkms) - An historic rivalry comes back to Murray State University tomorrow night. The Racers men's basketball team faces off against the Western Kentucky University Hilltoppers. The teams have been rivals since their first match in 1932. MSU Assistant Media Relations AD Dave Winder says while Western leads 95 - 52 in overall wins, recent history shows a much closer competition.

"Since Western Kentucky left the Ohio Valley Conference in 1982, the two teams have split the 18 games they've played coming into tomorrow night's game, so you've got great fans, you've got great history, both teams have great tradition. And it's a great rivalry because both teams win."

The Hilltoppers play the Racers tomorrow night at 7:30 at the CFSB Center. Ahead of the men's game, the Lady Racers play the Southern Illinois Salukis at 5 pm.
