Grow Trigg repeal efforts
(2009-12-30)
(wkms) - Trigg County Circuit Judge C.A "Woody" Woodall says he will hear a case deciding if an individual precinct can hold an election to reinstate prohibition. Trigg County narrowly voted to lift an alcohol ban in September. The Montgomery precinct collected enough signatures for a vote. However, the Kentucky Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control and the State Board of Elections differ in their opinions on whether an individual precinct can go wet or dry. Citizens for reinstating prohibition have hired Attorney Don Thomas. "Petey" Rogers will represent Grow Trigg in the case. Judge Woodall will hear the case January 29th. © Copyright 2012, wkms
