This summer the Grand Ledge Area District Library will host its' author series in our historic meeting room, right on Jefferson Street, with the doors and windows open and plants inside to create an old fashioned front porch feel, but with air conditioning available and no bugs! It runs every other Thursday night from June 19th through July 31, from 6 to 7 p.m.
Richard Baldwin is author of several “Michigan Mysteries” with locations including Tip-Up Town, Ingham Country Fair, SS Badger and Bois Blanc. His next book is titled "Murder at the Big House" (as in U of M Stadium) and will be available soon. A resident of Haslett, MI - Rich Baldwin has published more than 20 books, including two children’s books, a set of religious vignettes, several skits and the "AARP Magazine - Swim Suit Edition", under his own company – Buttonwood Press.
He is also a public speaker, addressing groups on the topic of "How to Self-Publish Your Own Book". Prior to becoming a published author, he enjoyed a long and exciting career in special education, serving as a teacher, college professor and spending 20 years at the Michigan Department of Education where he was a consultant, supervisor and State Director of Special Education from 1990-97.
