The retrial of former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich ended June 27 when a federal jury found him guilty on 17 of 20 counts. Also in legal news, a federal jury found Autozone guilty of failing to provide a reasonable accommodation to a disabled sales manager in Macomb.

The Iowa legislature took until the final day of the month - and the final day of the fiscal year - to approve a new budget and finish other business. In Illinois, state workers and retirees dealt with a great deal of confusion over their health plan options.

News Director Rich Egger talked to WIU President Al Goldfarb about his nine years in office. Goldfarb retired June 30.

Also last month, reporter Jim Lenz took a detailed look at plans to build a large-scale hog farm in McDonough County, and reporter Jason Parrott spoke with the head of Fort Madison Partners about the organization's efforts.
