Shop Talk - September 21
(2010-09-21)
(wium) - The panelists discuss instances of reporters and news organizations becoming too close to the people they're supposed to cover. For example:

1) A couple reporters asked quarterback Tim Tebow for an autograph after he a did a post-game interview.

2) Rupert Murdoch's News Corps, which is the parent company of Fox News, donated $1 million to the Republican Governor's Association.

The panelists wonder what happened to the old adage: no cheering from the press box. But it's somewhat refreshing to see Fox drop its pretense of being "fair and balanced" to openly support Republicans.
