(wium) - Rich Egger's guest is Janine Cavicchia, Director of the Western Illinois University Women's Center. Cavicchia previews some of the events and activities taking place during March, which is Women's History Month.

The celebration begins with an opening reception for the art exhibit "Women's Art: Women's Vision." It takes place March 1, 3:00pm to 5:00pm, on the second floor of the WIU Multicultural Center. The exhibit will remain on display through the end of the month.

The first week of the month concludes with a luncheon hosted by the Macomb Feminist Network. Cavicchia says four local women will be honored for their contributions to the community. The luncheon will be held Saturday, March 6, 11:00am at the WIU Multicultural Center.

Cavicchia says the organization plans to make the honoree luncheon an annual event.

Cavicchia says a number of other events are also scheduled to take place throughout the month.
