A look at some of the quilts now on display at the West Central Illinois Arts Center
(wium) - This week's program previews upcoming events at a couple arts centers in western Illinois.

Rich Egger's first guest is Nancy Crossman. She serves on the board of the West Central Illinois Arts Center in Macomb (Egger also serves on the WCIAC board). The organization's current exhibit is "Quilt Expressions - Art and Story in Fabric." That will be followed by a student art show.

The WCIAC will also be presenting plays and a concert in the coming months.

The second guest is Susan Twomey, who is director of the Buchanan Center for the Arts in Monmouth. The center will hold an opening reception for the Smithsonian exhibit "Journey Stories" on January 30.

Later this year the Buchanan Center will host a community art exhibit and a juried exhibit.
