Museum "Floating" in Fort Madison
The LST 325 was one of the landing ships used during the war, in particular on D-Day, to transport tanks and soldiers.
Naval veteran and volunteer crew member Sid Hisel of Georgetown, KY says the 328' long ship provides a unique look into our military past.
More than 1500 people have toured the ship during its first two days in Fort Madison.
The LST 325 will set sail, Monday morning, for its home in Evansville, IN.
Hisel says all of the tour fees and donations are used to keep the ship afloat and touring the country.
