Cleanup Efforts Begin This Weekend in Gulfport
ADM Regional Superintendent Brian Cochran believes it might take just one day if enough people come out and volunteer. Cochran says people will be transported form the grain elevator up and down the levee system, which is a 6-mile stretch.
Cochran says volunteers can report to the A-D-M grain elevator in Gulfport Saturday from nine a-m to five p-m. The rain date for the cleanup is Sunday.
The entire town ended up under ten feet of water when the levee gave way in mid-June. Gulfport was one of the towns most heavily impacted by this summer's flooding along the Mississippi River.
