Culver Stockton College Offering Hands-On Courses
President Bill Fox says, starting this semester, students at Culver Stockton College will take traditional courses for just 12 weeks.
He says the new EXP@CSC curriculum will then allow students to take one more course during the final three weeks of the semester.
The course could involved travel, an internship, or collaborative research with a professor.
Fox says, for example, students in one EXP@CSC course will spend several weeks in Turkey with a history professor who once lived and taught there.
He says Culver Stockton College is also giving each student an annual stipend of $500 to help cover the costs associated with the more hands-on courses.
