Last week, Gates Corporation announced it was expanding their workforce by adding 25 jobs. This week, a new business announced it will locate a facility in Galesburg.
Bradley Smoker is a Canadian based company that primarily manufactures smokers and bisquettes. It will house a distribution center in one of Galesburg's Industrial Parks on Enterprise Avenue.
Linda Utsinger of the Galesburg Regional Economic Development Association says the center will employ ten people. She says the company would like to add a call center, and eventually expand to be able to manufacture bisquettes.
Utsinger says the company picked Galesburg over several other locations, because of its railroad and interstate access.
