Burlington Hopes Fundraising = Jobs
Dennis Hinkle with the Greater Burlington Partnership says more than $1,500,000 is needed to implement the Partnering for the Future campaign.
He says the bulk of the money would be used for economic development, with the goal being the creation of 1,500+ jobs over the next five years.
The money generated would also be used for marketing efforts, tourism promotion, and downtown development.
Hinkle says the partnership has hired a firm out of Atlanta, GA to help with the fundraising, which could be completed by the end of the year.
