The overuse of antibiotics in animal agriculture is having unintended consequences on the human population. Tamrika welcomes local activist Carter Livingston and Robert Martin from the Pew Research Center to discuss the rise of antibiotic-resistant infections due to confined animal feeding operations (CAFO). We also discuss the Preservation of Antibiotics for Medical Treatment Act (PAMTA) which would require the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to closely monitor antibiotics in animal feed. www.saveantibiotics.com
