Finalists Michael Ashcraft, Larry Stoever, and David Watson are scheduled to be in Fort Madison, both Wednesday and Thursday, for individual interviews.
They will also take part in a public forum, Wednesday night, at the library.
The three candidates have extensive experience in city government.
Ashcraft most recently served as Deputy City Manager in Olathe, Kansas; Stoever as City Manager in Saline, Michigan; and Watson as City Manager in Newton, Iowa.
Fort Madison Mayor Steve Ireland hopes to have a new city manager in place next month.
The city has been without a full-time city manager since May of 2006.
At that time, a majority of the Fort Madison City Council asked Bill Kelly to resign.
