The Gala, which has become a popular social event, is the only annual fundraiser to benefit the award-winning Knox-Galesburg Symphony. The benefit includes a silent auction, official casino games, hot and cold hors d’oeuvres, a 50/50 drawing, cash bar and the “The Bob Clark Combo” providing live entertainment.
The “official” casino games will include Craps, Texas Hold’em, Black Jack and Roulette. Throughout the evening, patrons are invited to kick up their heels to music by the Bob Clark Combo featuring Bob Clark on clarinet, tenor saxophone, and flute with Steve Jackson on string bass, David Sherrard on drums, and Dennis Stremmel on piano.
This year’s silent auction will offer an assortment of items from area businesses and organizations ranging in values from $25.00 to over $1,000. Items to be auctioned will consist of a wide spectrum of merchandise and services including Casino packages, memorabilia, collectibles, floral arrangements, jewelry, specialty items, auto services, household merchandise, apparel, landscaping, memberships, restaurant meals, sports activities, gift certificates and gift baskets.
Tickets include admission to the casino, auction, dance, hors d’oeuvres, ten dollars ($10) in gambling chips and the entertainment. Additional gambling chips are available for purchase.
