Set in vibrant Central Park the festival offers dozens of fine artists nestled under the shade trees. Climax Molybdenum is the sponsor of this event. King Benny is a blues inspired Americana band out of Louisiana, MO. They take the 1930’s Delta Blues and the electrified Blues of the 60’s and make it their own with stories that helped shape the foundation of modern day America. Guitarist Ben Cordes has played with Walter Trout, Tab Benoit, Michael Burks, and Bernard Allison. The band has opened for Albert Castiglia, Molly Hatchet, and The Kentucky Headhunters. Read & Return is one of the bands that performed at this year’s Singer Songwriter Series. Three young men from around the globe add the energy to this underground hip-hop group with stage names Content, Joule, and Failsafe.
