This after school program is a unique clay class that helps children find their own way with clay. Specially developed by clay instructor, Pam Johnson, the class teaches the fundamentals of clay while making pottery. Children will use different types of clay to make an African style Bura drum, a Native American style slip designed bowl, a Korean style tea bowl and more. Maximum number of participants is 8. Register online here, or walk in to register at the Macomb Park District Office. Registration fee includes clay, glazes, use of brushes and tools, both bisque and glaze firings, adult instruction and supervision. If your child needs an accommodation based on a disability to attend this program please contact the park district at least 5 days before the program begins. |
