Chronic Wasting Disease
(2008-09-03)
(Interlochen Public Radio) - Late last month, Chronic Wasting Disease was discovered at a deer ranch in Kent County. It was the first time CWD was found in Michigan. CWD is a fatal neurological disease that affects deer, elk and moose. Till now, most cases of the disease have been in the western U.S. It has recently begun to spread to the Midwest. © Copyright 2009, Interlochen Public Radio
