Cherry Festival INTERLOCHEN PUBLIC RADIO (Interlochen Public Radio) - The National Cherry Festival says it won't live beyond next summer if it keeps doing business the way it has been. This week, the festival's director went before the Traverse City Commission to ask for support. Even though the festival brings hundreds of thousands of people into the city for a week each summer, its value is not assumed. This week on Points North, we'll ask why not.
