SC NAACP Says Hollywood's Listening

Leaders of the South Carolina National Association for the Advancement of Colored People say dozens of people in the film industry have expressed interest in joining the group's boycott of South Carolina.
During its national convention in July, the NAACP announced a boycott targeting the film industry as a way to remove the confederate flag from a monument at the South Carolina capitol.
The flag once flew on the capitol's dome until a deal in 2000 brought it down and moved it to the monument.
To remove it completely from capitol grounds, the NAACP is courting Hollywood to show solidarity by not filming in the state.
South Carolina chapter president Lonnie Randolph has declined to name specific actors or film companies, and says the organization will announce a list of its supporters in January.
