Wilmington reggae acts Jah Creation and Steve Martinez will be grooving at Saturday's festival.
There's local support for reggae music, says festival organizer Katie Lucas. She says she hopes it's enough make the festival an annual event.
"With it being a beach town, reggae music just goes hand in hand with it, so we felt like it was kind of a given. It's just a matter of putting it together," says Lucas.
Headlining the festival will be Culture, a big name in the reggae scene since the 70's.
But Culture lost its lead singer Joseph Hill two years ago, and his son Kenyatta Hill stepped in as the front man.
Festival organizer Lucas says she expects to see cross-generational fans at the festival.
"You have your fans of Culture that have been following group for many years, and then you've got a younger generation that are fans of Kinyatta Hill, and this brings them all together," says Lucas.
Fans will also find Jamaican eats the festival, which starts at 3 pm.
