WILMINGTON, NC (whqr) - Tab Ballis is a licensed social worker and clinical addictions specialist in private practice in Wilmington.

And seven years ago, he served as a Disaster Mental Health Professional for the American Red Cross at ground zero after 9/11.

Tab worked in a huge tent right next to the 16-acre pit, making himself available to the workers there. He volunteered for 2 weeks in December of 2001. Tab sat down with WHQR's Jemila Ericson to talk about his time there and its lasting impact.
