JEMILA ERICSON'S MIDDAY CAFE
From Sudan to America: John Bul Dau
From Sudan to America: John Bul Dau
One of the "Lost Boys of Sudan," John Bul Dau spoke with Jemila Ericson by phone, telling the story of his harrowing journey barefoot through war-torn east Africa with thousands of other orphaned children, and how we was eventually sponsored to come to the United States to make a new life. His book, "God Grew Tired of Us," and an award-winning documentary by the same name, are both available at the New Hanover County Public Library.

John Bul Dau speaks at Thalian Hall Thursday, Jan. 28th at 7:00. You can meet him afterward at a reception in the ballroom. Tickets are $10. You can get tickets at the door or by calling the Thalian Hall box office at 343-3664.
