Hathaway says she strongly is considering a run for the Michigan
Supreme Court.

Democratic Party convention in early September.
Democrats will nominate someone to run against incumbent Supreme
Court Chief Justice Clifford Taylor.
Taylor was nominated for the November ballot by Republicans last
weekend. He's been on the state's highest court since 1997.
Hathaway said Monday her decision would be announced before the
convention. She has been a Wayne County judge for about 15 years.
Other potential candidates include Wayne County judges Amy
