Michigan Dems Discuss Healthcare at Convention
(2008-08-21)
(wgvu) - DENVER (AP) - Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, Kansas Governor
Kathleen Sebelius and other top Democrats are expected to attend a
forum on health care in Denver on Wednesday.
The forum is sponsored by Families USA and the Service Employees
International Union and will be held at the Denver Center for the
Performing Arts before Wednesday's convention program.
Organizers say former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle of
South Dakota and Congressmen John Dingell of Michigan and George
Miller of California also will attend.
Michelle Obama, wife of nominee-in-waiting Barack Obama, has
been invited. Organizers say Senator Ted Kennedy may participate in
person or by video link.
He is being treated for cancer.
