Stabbing Death Suspect USA (wgvu) - GRAND HAVEN, Mich. (AP) - A man has been sentenced to 13 to 20
years in prison for fatally stabbing another man in Ottawa County.
Eliseo Ruiz was sentenced Monday in Ottawa County Circuit Court
after pleading no contest last month to second-degree murder.
William Oliverio Jr. was killed in a Holland Township apartment in
April 2005.
Ruiz fled to Mexico after the stabbing, but authorities captured
him and he was extradited to the U.S.
During a sentencing hearing, Ruiz said through an interpreter he
was sorry and hadn't wanted Oliverio to die.
