WOMAN KILLED GRAND RAPIDS MI (AP) (wgvu) - A 36-year-old Grand Rapids man who
pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of second-degree murder in the
brutal slaying of his ex-girlfriend will spend at least 35 years in
prison.
Marvin Snyder was sentenced in Kent County Circuit Court for the
November killing of Susan Sheldon.
The 35-year-old woman was the mother of five children.
An autopsy determined that Sheldon was bludgeoned with a blunt
instrument and suffered deep knife wounds to her head.
She was missing for 12 days before police found her body in a
shallow grave near a creek bed.
