Northwest fares ROMULUS, MICH. (AP) (wgvu) - Northwest Airlines says it will add fuel
surcharges of up to $80 for many domestic round-trip tickets.
The surcharge will apply to travel on about 7,000 routes
beginning January 10th.
Eagan, Minnesota-based Northwest is Michigan's leading passenger
air carrier and handles the majority of travelers at Detroit
Metropolitan Airport.
A spokeswoman says Northwest is matching surcharges added by
competitors in those markets and already has fuel surcharges in
other markets.
