(wgvu) - The Wayne County sheriff says Michigan State
Police will investigate an alleged physical confrontation involving
Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick.
Sheriff Warren Evans says a process server and a sheriff's
officer had gone to the home of Kilpatrick's sister, Ayanna, and
her husband, Daniel Ferguson, to present a subpoena to Daniel
Ferguson's cousin, businessman Bobby Ferguson.
Evans says the sheriff's officer alleges Kilpatrick pushed him
and bumped him into the process server, who was working for Wayne
County Prosecutor Kym Worthy.
Kilpatrick attorney James Thomas says the mayor "gently
escorted" the process server off the porch, but there was no
pushing or shoving.
