Double JJ Resort-Bankruptcy

Majority owners Bob and Joan Lipsitz told U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Jeffrey Hughes in papers filed this week they hope to sell the 2,000-acre resort near Rothbury, about 20 miles north of Muskegon.
The couple owns 56 percent of the Oceana County resort, and Walter Wojack of Canton, Ohio, is a 44 percent investor.
The Double JJ hosted the inaugural Rothbury music festival this month that attracted about 40,000 people.
But the owners filed for bankruptcy because the resort was facing the default of a construction loan from Minneapolis-based BankFirst.
