Emergency Status Expands
Granholm to declare a state of emergency in five more Michigan
counties.
Granholm on Thursday declared a state of emergency in Lake,
Manistee, Osceola, Ottawa and Wexford counties in Michigan's Lower
Peninsula.
Granholm's declarations authorize the use of state resources to
help deal with immediate threats to public health and safety
related to the severe weather that has hammered those areas this
month.
Granholm earlier declared a state of emergency in Lansing and
