U of M Raises Tuition
(wgvu) - The University of Michigan's Board of
Regents has approved a 5.6 percent tuition increase for the 2008-09
school year.
The increase approved Thursday will add $590 in tuition and fees
to the bill of an in-state, first-year undergraduate in Michigan's
College of Literature, Science, and the Arts. A similar nonresident
would see an increase of $1,768.
An in-state freshman in the college could expect to pay $11,037
in tuition and fees this fall with the approved increase at the Ann
Arbor campus.
The Detroit News and Detroit Free Press report undergraduates at
the Dearborn campus will face a 6.5 percent tuition increase.
Undergraduates at the Flint campus face a 5.9 percent tuition
