Michigan Tuition
(wgvu) - ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) - The University of Michigan's Board of
Regents has approved a 5.6 percent tuition increase for the 2008-09
school year.
The increase approved Thursday will add $590 in tuition and fees
to the bill of an in-state, first-year undergraduate in Michigan's
College of Literature, Science, and the Arts. A similar nonresident
would see an increase of $1,768.
An in-state freshman in the college could expect to pay $11,037
in tuition and fees this fall with the approved increase.
Tuition and fees increased by 7.4 percent at Michigan last fall
when the average tuition increase at a Michigan public university
was more than 10 percent.
