(wgvu) - A NONPROFIT GROUP IS PLANNING A 20 MILLION-DOLLAR
PROJECT IN DETROIT THAT INCLUDES A 150-UNIT APARTMENT COMPLEX FOR
HOMELESS MILITARY VETERANS.
SOUTHWEST SOLUTIONS PLANS TO BREAK GROUND TODAY ON THE APARTMENT
COMPLEX AND COMMERCIAL BUILDING CALLED PIQUETTE SQUARE.
VETERANS LIVING IN THE ONE-BEDROOM APARTMENTS WILL HAVE ACCESS
TO COUNSELING AND JOB-SKILLS TRAINING WHEN THE COMPLEX OPENS NEXT
SPRING.
THE APARTMENTS WILL BE AVAILABLE ON A FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED
BASIS, AND RENT WILL BE ON A SLIDING SCALE.
