Mount Pleasant police investigating theft of equipment from oil USA (wgvu) - MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. (AP) - Mount Pleasant police say they are
looking for people involved in the theft of heavy equipment from an
oil field site.
Police tell WSGW-AM the stolen device is used to keep pipes
centered during drilling operations. It comes in two 300-pound
sections and is valued at $5,000.
Investigators say they believe the equipment was stolen for its
scrap value.
