Former janitor accused of stealing items from high school
(2008-05-28)
(wgvu) - ROCKFORD, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say a former night shift
janitor at Comstock Park High School admitted to stealing baseball
gloves and calculators and later sold them on eBay.
Ricky Wright is free on bond and facing a June 6 preliminary
hearing following his arraignment Wednesday on larceny charges. The
felony charges are punishable by up to four years in prison.
Police say the items belonged to students and staff at the high
school. Kent County sheriff's deputies have recovered much of the
stolen property.
Wright's attorney told The Grand Rapids Press that she hadn't
had a chance to review police reports on the case.
The Grand Rapids Press says the 44-year-old Wright has been
fired.
