BOAT CRASH

(wgvu) - - THE MACOMB COUNTY SHERIFF HAS
RELEASED THE NAMES OF THREE PEOPLE KILLED WHEN THEIR 38-FOOT POWER
BOAT CRASHED INTO A PARKED BARGE.
THE CRASH HAPPENED ON LAKE ST. CLAIR'S BELVIDERE BAY IN HARRISON
TOWNSHIP, ABOUT 20 MILES NORTHEAST OF DETROIT.
SHERIFF MARK HACKEL SAYS THE CRASH KILLED 42-YEAR-OLD JOSEPH
HAMILTON OF BLOOMFIELD HILLS, 36-YEAR-OLD SAWSON BELL OF PONTIAC
AND 39-YEAR-OLD KATHLEEN O'NEILL OF HARRISON TOWNSHIP.
HACKEL SAYS THE 120-FOOT BARGE HAD LIGHTS ON IT AND HE'S UNSURE
WHY THE POWER BOAT DIDN'T SEE IT.
THE BOAT'S OPERATOR WAS 38-YEAR-OLD BRIAN LEPP OF TROY.
HE AND 39-YEAR-OLD PASSENGER WILLIAM DIEGEL OF MACOMB TOWNSHIP
REMAIN HOSPITALIZED.
