(wgvu) - GOVERNOR GRANHOLM'S DEPUTY CHIEF OF STAFF
IS KEEPING HER JOB BUT WILL ADD DIRECTING MICHIGAN'S WASHINGTON
OFFICE TO HER LIST OF DUTIES.
THE GOVERNOR'S OFFICE SAYS GENNA GENT WILL BE REPLACING DAN
BEATTIE IN THE NATION'S CAPITAL ON JUNE 9TH.
BEATTIE IS LEAVING TO WORK FOR A LAW FIRM.
GENT HAS WRITTEN SPEECHES FOR THE DEMOCRATIC GOVERNOR AND WAS
COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR FOR HER 2002 AND 2006 GUBERNATORIAL
CAMPAIGNS. GENT WILL CONTINUE TO BE INVOLVED ON THE EXECUTIVE
OFFICE'S MESSAGE AND STRATEGIC DECISIONS.
LIZ BOYD WILL TAKE OVER AS COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR WHILE
CONTINUING HER DUTIES AS THE GOVERNOR'S PRESS SECRETARY.
