FULBRIGHT FOR GVSU PROFESSOR ALLENDALE (wgvu) - A Grand Valley State University sociology professor has been awarded a Fulbright grant.

Joel Stillerman is also the Latin American Studies Program director.

Stillerman received the grant for a research project, Middle Class Consumption and Social Inequality in Santiago, Chile.

Stillerman will combine the grant with a Grand Valley sabbatical to spend a year in Santiago, beginning in mid-July.

He plans to write a book about his upcoming findings.
