SCHOOL BOMB THREAT ARREST

(wgvu) - A KENT COUNTY TEENAGER IS IN BIG TROUBLE, ACCUSED OF CALLING IN A PHONEY BOMB THREAT TO SPARTA HIGH SCHOOL LAST WEEK.
SPARTA POLICE CHIEF ANDREW MILANOWSKI SAYS THE SUSPECT ATTENDS THE HIGH SCHOOL, AND THEY'RE NOT RELEASING A NAME. THE CHIEF SAYS THE SCHOOL WAS EVACUATED FOR THREE HOURS AFTER A STAFFER PICKED UP THE THREAT ON A TELEPHONE ANSWERING MACHINE.
THE TEENAGER IS CHARGED WITH USING A COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM TO COMMIT TERRORISM, A 20-YEAR FELONY.

THE INCIDENT COST THE DISTRICT AND THE SPARTA FIRE DEPARTMENT OVER $28,000 AND FULL RESTITUTION WILL BE SOUGHT.
