SAYS HE'LL SUBPOENA EX-ATTORNEY GENERAL JOHN ASHCROFT IF HE WON'T
AGREE TO TESTIFY ABOUT THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION'S INTERROGATION
POLICIES.
THE DETROIT DEMOCRAT ALSO THREATENED TO SUBPOENA TWO OTHERS IF
THEY DON'T AGREE TO COME FORWARD VOLUNTARILY.
A PREVIOUS DISPUTE BETWEEN THE COMMITTEE AND THE WHITE HOUSE IS
BEING HASHED OUT IN FEDERAL COURT.
THE COMMITTEE SUED WHITE HOUSE CHIEF OF STAFF JOSH BOLTEN AND
EX-PRESIDENTIAL COUNSEL HARRIET MIERS FOR REFUSING TO COMPLY WITH
SUBPOENAS ON THE FIRINGS OF FEDERAL PROSECUTORS.
