(wgvu) - A COMMISSION HAS RECOMMENDED INGHAM COUNTY
CIRCUIT JUDGE BEVERLEY NETTLES-NICKERSON BE REMOVED FROM OFFICE AND
ORDERED TO PAY $129,000 IN COSTS.
THE MICHIGAN JUDICIAL TENURE COMMISSION SAYS SHE FAKED
DOCUMENTS, LIED UNDER OATH IN HER DIVORCE PROCEEDINGS, WRONGLY
DISMISSED CASES AND WAS EXCESSIVELY ABSENT.
THE RECOMMENDATIONS NOW GO TO THE MICHIGAN SUPREME COURT, WHICH
COULD ADOPT THE SANCTIONS OR IMPOSE ITS OWN.
NETTLES-NICKERSON HAS BEEN SUSPENDED WITH PAY SINCE JUNE.
HER TERM ENDS THIS YEAR, BUT SHE'S FILED TO RUN FOR RE-ELECTION.
