Cemetary Law
(wgvu) - LANSING, Mich. (AP) - New proposals aimed at strengthening
Michigan law protecting cemetery trust funds are coming to the
state Legislature.
The measures are aimed at preventing cases similar to those that
have sparked investigations in Michigan, Indiana and Tennessee.
The newest bills will be detailed Tuesday by state
Representative Michael Sak, a Democrat from Grand Rapids.
The bills are designed to add enforcement measures for
cemeteries and their owners.
Another proposal has been introduced in the state Senate but it
has not yet advanced.
