A Mothers Lament USA (wgvu) - GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) - A Michigan man will spend the next 30
to 60 years in prison for slaying his pregnant girlfriend.
Twenty-two-year-old Laron Spight pleaded guilty in February to
second-degree murder in the stabbing death of Crystal Michael last
May.
He was sentenced Thursday in Kent County Circuit Court.
Spight's 21-year-old sister is serving a minimum 28-year prison
sentence for an unrelated second-degree murder conviction.
She drove the getaway car in a Wyoming purse snatching in 2005
in which the 81-year-old victim was knocked to the ground and died
from her injuries.
