Comic Book Store Slaying
Pennsylvania man charged in the 1990 slaying of his wife at the
couple's Detroit-area comic book store.
Macomb County prosecutors say 47-year-old Michael George was
unhappy in his marriage and wanted a divorce, but decided on murder
instead.
George's lawyer Carl Marlinga says he's concerned about how some
witnesses' memories will hold up - especially George's now
74-year-old mother.
Barbara Marie George was shot in the head in July 1990 inside
the Clinton Township store.
Opening arguments could begin as early as Wednesday afternoon.
George would spend life in prison if convicted of first-degree
murder.
